New technology offers the ease of fully variable volume pump output and a reverse pump feature.

Sturtevant, WI (July 30, 2007) – Putzmeister America’s dependable S5 Series has added a new design to its line of versatile rotor/stator pumps and mixers. The S5 GH gas-powered model features a new hydraulic drive technology.

“The new hydraulic technology in the S5 GH is what really makes this model stand apart from the rest,” says Putzmeister America’s national sales manager for Thom-Katts® and Mortar Machines, Dave Rudin. “The technology offers the ease of fully variable volume pump output and a reverse pump feature to relieve line pressure.”

The 18 hp S5 GH is primarily used for outside plaster and stucco, but is also an industry favorite for pressure grout, vermiculite, fireproofing material, swimming pool finish and pipe line-refurbishment. This 750-lb. model has a maximum pressure of 360 psi with a one-and-a-half cubic feet per minute output. Other standard features for the S5 GH include a reliable gasoline engine with electric start, one-third inch (11mm) hopper screen for plaster and hydraulic oil cooler.

Other models in the S5 Series include the S5 EV, TM 100 Mixer and 928 Continuous Mixer. The entire line is compact yet powerful and handles a variety of materials with ease.

“All of our S5 Series models feature our specially engineered Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) technology and adjustable rotor/stator pump,” adds Rudin. “The combination of those two components allows for the entire series to have longer life spans and the highest productivity levels in the industry.”

Other features that place Putzmeister America’s S5 Series ahead of the competition include:
• A space plate and tie rod system for quick and easy removal which allows different size
rotor stator tubes to be used on the same machine.
• Separation of the clamping jacket and tube components so the clamping jacket can be
used again and again.
• A convenient bolt and nut assembly that connects the rotor and agitator for easier
access and disassembly.
• Stators that are available in a variety of shore hardnesses and rubber compounds,
which allows pumping or spraying the widest range of materials possible.
