STURTEVANT, WI (November 1, 2010) – Putzmeister America, Inc. announces it’s offering a Structural Inspection Course Part II as part of its 2011 service school lineup.

The Structural Inspection Course Part II is an extension of Putzmeister America’s existing Structural Inspection Course (Part I). Part I covers the techniques and procedures used to inspect Putzmeister truck-mounted concrete boom pumps and Telebelts®. A requirement of the course is for students to complete 10 supervised inspections on Putzmeister boom pumps and Telebelts to become a certified Putzmeister America Structural Inspector.

“It’s been challenging for students to complete the 10 inspections after they complete Part I because they are required to have a certified inspector with them while conducting the inspection,” explains Alan Woods, technical services manager for Putzmeister America. “Part II helps students complete these inspections. During this course, students inspect both new and used boom pumps and Telebelts conveniently at the Putzmeister America factory with the dedicated attention of myself and Don Gerou, our product performance manager. By the time Part II is finished, the students should have at least half of their required inspections completed.”

Putzmeister America is the only company in the industry to offer this type of training.

After the 10 inspections are complete and certification is achieved, each inspector must also successfully complete Putzmeister America’s annual Structural Inspector Refresher course, done remotely, to maintain their certification. This course brings inspectors current on the latest inspection techniques and changes that may have occurred over the last year.

“We continually strive to provide services to our customers they will find helpful in the field and that will put them in front of their competition,” adds Alan.
