“Specialty Concrete Placement” Seminar at ConExpo-Con/Agg 2005Attendees learn of latest technology used in concrete placement today
STURTEVANT, Wisconsin (May 1, 2005) – In conjunction with this year’s ConExpo-Con/Agg exhibition, Putzmeister America and Allentown Equipment jointly presented an informative seminar titled, “Specialty Concrete Placement”. The seminar was sponsored on behalf of both the American Concrete Pumping Association (ACPA) and the National Ready Mixed Concrete Association (NRMCA).
Bill Carbeau, Telebelt® and Specialty Products Sector Manager for Putzmeister America was selected to present information about the increasing use of separate placing booms, high pressure trailer pumps, and tunneling equipment. He then illustrated how it is being used to more efficiently handle today’s more challenging concrete placing projects. Meanwhile, industry consultant and former Chairman of the Board for Allentown Industries George Yoggy focused his portion of the seminar on specialty shotcreting equipment and applications.
Carbeau said, “I feel attendees walked away with a better understanding of how shotcreting and concrete placing jobs could be more effectively accomplished by using today’s advanced equipment technology.”
Approximately 100 ConExpo-Con/Agg attendees were registered to attend the 90-minute presentation held March 17th at the Las Vegas Hilton.
