Putzmeister Hydraulic Valves Now Offered for High Rise and Long Distance Concrete Placing Systems in North America
Putzmeister Hydraulic Valves Now Offered for High Rise and Long Distance Concrete Placing Systems in North AmericaPutzmeister hydraulic diversion and shut-off valves are now available in North America. This offering comes in response to the growing popularity of Putzmeister placing booms and equipment in the United States and Canada coupled with contractor requests for this accessory.
Two types of Putzmeister hydraulic valves are available - diversion (DVH) or shut-off (GVH) valves. Both versions are hydraulically operated and can be mounted vertically or horizontally to assist changing job-site conditions. They also offer several different configurations to fit specific application requirements and can be used in conjunction with almost any placing system on the market today.
The Putzmeister hydraulic diversion valves handle high-pressures up to 1885 psi (130 bar) without leaking. This version is ideal for use with two or more delivery lines, offering the advantage of conveying concrete with one while cleaning the other. Various models even feature up to five different diversion ports for maximum flexibility when setting up the system.
The hydraulically operated shut-off valves are also pressure-resistant and absolutely leak-proof. They are used to stop the back flow of concrete pressure when the pump is not operating or to change the system between pump and valve. These types of valves accommodate extremely high pressures up to 2900 psi (200 bar).
Both types of valves have been utilized in countless applications since the 1980s - including experience in high rise and long distance concrete conveying "world records," both successfully achieved with Putzmeister products. Originally developed in Germany, the valves have been modified to meet changing and more demanding pipeline needs of today.
