Putzmeister Boosts Pump Reliability Again with New Manual Stroke Change Kit

Putzmeister Boosts Pump Reliability Again with New Manual Stroke Change Kit

Taking reliability one step farther, Putzmeister America now offers a backup stroke change kit as a standard feature on more than 20 different models in its trailer- and vehicle-mounted pump lineup.

The kit is a redundant measure due to the proven reliability of Putzmeister Thom-Katt® and VS pumps. In case of experiencing a problem while pumping, this backup source allows the operator to manually cycle the pump and finish the job. To do this, one must simply attach three wires with alligator clips to the pump. Then each time the pump needs to switch over, the operator manually pushes a button to change the stroke direction.

Only electrically cycled Putzmeister pumps can take advantage of this special kit to keep the unit operating and allow project completion. All standard and high-pressure trailer-mounted Thom-Katt, Katt-Kreter® and King-Katt pumps, as well as the VS Series of vehicle-mounted pumps, have been equipped with this Putzmeister feature as of early 2000.
