Putzmeister America Names VP of Operations And Director of Development/DesignSTURTEVANT, Wis. ( Feb. 2 2004 ) – Effective Jan. 1, Stefan Fritz was appointed Putzmeister America 's vice president of operations. In his new role, Fritz assumes the overall responsibilities for purchasing, material control, manufacturing operations and facilities.
Since joining Putzmeister as the company's director of purchasing and materials in mid-2002, Fritz has significantly improved the company's materials operations within North America . He now will concentrate on enacting streamlining processes ranging from material planning to unit completion.
Fritz's role was expanded with additional production and facility responsibilities when Martin Mayer accepted a new position as director of development and design for Putzmeister AG in Germany . Mayer has been with Putzmeister America for 8 1/2 years; his latest position as vice president of engineering and manufacturing. He will return to Germany to lead the creation and development of new products for worldwide acceptance, assuming this role after World of Concrete 2004.
