Putzmeister America, Inc. Introduces Optional Fuel Selector Valve

Putzmeister America, Inc. (Putzmeister) has introduced an optional new fuel selector valve for its line of truck-mounted concrete boom pumps, which will allow operators to easily switch between fuel tanks with the turn of a knob located inside the cab of the truck.

The new fuel selector valve on the optional auxillary outrigger assembly offers three options: the “chassis” option that pulls fuel from the standard chassis tank; the “outrigger” option, which pulls fuel from the larger outrigger tank; and an “auto” option that automically pulls fuel from the chassis tank when the truck is driving and from the outrigger tank when the pump is operating on the job site. If one of the two tanks runs out of fuel, the operator can manually select the other tank to keep the equipment running.

“Using the new fuel valve selector is easier and more efficient than the standard design,” said Dave Wright, special applications engineering manager for Putzmeister. “Instead of manually filling one tank from the other, those with this new option can switch back and forth between tanks just by turning a knob.”

Putzmeister’s optional fuel selector valve is available immediately on all new truck-mounted boom truck orders. For more information, call (800) 884-7210.
